Is it normal for vegans to get on the defence when you challenge them?

Try this: veganism is not just a diet, it's a lifestyle. That's a most recent phrase by vegans on the internet, when I said it's just a diet I was being sarcastic, joking, I knew full well it's not just a diet. All this because of food! They even get on the defence about manliness and superstrength on a vegan diet. Are you kidding me? I know a real man could be a vegan, I know there are vegans with muscles, but it's veganism, it's not about being strong, and I don't think it's about health, it's about saving the animals, the Earth, and not wearing furs or exploiting animals, I adopted the lifestyle part of veganism to my liquitarian diet, e.g. I don't wear or use anything from an animal, I don't exploit animals, I believe in animal liberation, I'm not just liquitarian for my health, I'm also liquitarian because I don't like eating, I'm liquitarian because I hate being coerced to eat, and I'm liquitarian because it's vegan, though I eat honey in my drinks, I care about animal liberation, I'm also liquitarian because it's sageness, to me it's not just a diet, but I have my own reasons (as I just stated), can any of this be normal?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

    Vegans like to get defensive.
    So do meat eaters.
I think the majority of vegans are misguided.
I eat all types of meat.
But I oppose animal abuse, factory farms, or over fishing.
I recycle and live a fairly waste free life by shopping wisely.
That said its not my place to tell you how to live.

The thing is to clean the planet (put rubbish in a rubbish bin, including bottles and cartons and newspapers) knowing the stuff is already recycled, they will recycle it for you, those are the minimal rules for living.

I think anyone tends to get defensive if someone starts criticizing or trying to invalidate their lifestyle

I would probably get defensive if my healthy diet of lean meats and brown rice and quinoa etc was criticized and invalidated. I stopped being a liquitarian.

Veganism is just as bad or even worse for the earth and environment actually.

I gave up all my vegetarian diets, I just want to have a normal, healthy diet. (that only implies that vegetarianism isn't normal, even though it's healthy)

Veganism is healthy but its not healthier than eating meat by default. But if you say it's better for the environment you are dead wrong.

Woohoo! I agree! Vegetarians think, without recycling, that they're saving the planet, well it's downright lazy, what they tell you of their "green" diet is in their heads, it's just words, I know because I met a vegetarian and he wasn't recycling, but he thinks by eating vegetables and fish he's saving the planet. And by the way he eats fish for his health.

That's not the only reason why tho. If you wanna watch the video I linked in my first comment you can get more info.

Some of the plants that process the carbs vegans eat burn more fossil fuels because they require more work to eat per unit of food produced. Animals are killed via destruction of farmland to have room to grow crops and are often hunted and killed by the thousands to protect crops with traps and poisons ect.
