Is it normal for this to always happen?

My boyfriend and I were best friends for two years before we realized it was clearly just more... We've recently just started having sex and almost every time we have sex, he goes soft... It's not a self-esteem issue on my part but every time it happens, I get frustrated and wonder IS IT NORMAL?!

It sounds like he may just be a little unsure about the situation and he is over thinking it. He could realize that he truly cherishes your friendship and is afraid that if you have sex it will 1) never be the same and 2) if things didn't work out would be gone forever.

It is a scary thing for anyone.

I voted yes but am not sure how many times you two have had sex together. Maybe he is nervous or cannot keep concentration. He could be trying to please you so much that his mind wanders from just enjoying the sensation. Not to get into your business, but also make sure you are in the mood or have lubrication but not too much. Are you interactive, as in, make sexual noises or say anything during sex? I usually myself will go soft if the girl is in pain or not interactive.

yeah it's not meant to happen and he may need to see a doctor about it or find something that can help keep it up.

Don't get frustrated. Either feed him foods that heighten the libido or take him to a doctor. A variety of things could be causing this so it's best to make sure.
