Ok, so I hate HATE it when people say jk or lol or BFF or any abbreviation in text talk in person? It bothers me soo much!!!! Am I normal, or insane?

    We all do it to some extent, though. You even did it in your post. Ok is an abbreviation of Okay.

      Actually okay is from OK which is from Old Kinderhook. Old Kinderhook was Martin van Burren's nick name because he was from Kinderhook, NY. It's also attributed to be from Ol Korrect from Andrew Jackson who was poor at spelling Martin was also Andrew's protege.

      Well picked up.
      Plus 'soo' is not so normal in writing either, realistically this spelling would make the same sounding as 'Sue'!

      Oh well, new-speak is upon us all. 50 years ago we would have been whacked across the knuckles for it, today it's everywhere we look, and obviously the norm. :)
