Is it normal for there to be small lumps on my nipples?

I was just wondering,since I'm too scared to look for images of this(stupid porn ruining my crisis!)
Is it normal to have small round bumps all around your nipples? I don't have lumps anywhere else, and they aren't itchy or anything, but I want to be sure.

Also in the shower I noticed that they seem to soften up and recede, is that normal too? Please help me!

    Yes. It's normal. You know what those are? Those are glands. If you ever have children and breastfeed, you will be grateful you have them because they will secrete a light (barely even noticeable) natural skin protectant to keep your nipples from getting chapped. No worries!
