    The Dr. should have used a glove, told you why he/she was going to do it and have a nurse as wittiness.

        How is that akward? It's better than being possibly sexually assaulted by your doctor. How old are you?

          I don't think a witty nurse would help this situation. Granted a little levity is usually a welcome respite and it helps to laugh...but still I don't think it would have helped.
