Children with ADHD are prescribed Ritalin (a pharmaceutical form of speed/meth/amphetamines) as until a child reaches puberty, stimulants such as speed/amphetamines/meth have the opposite effect to anyone older taking them.
So rather than the stimulant making you more alert, energetic, more chatty, heightened confidence etc, In a child, it actually calms them down, both mentally & physically.
The reason you have been REFUSED a prescription for Ritalin and the like is because , even if you DO have ADHD, they won't work.
I know quite a few adults with ADHD and they self medicate by smoking weed to "chill them out" as OPPOSED to speeding up
Is it normal for someone with ADHD to easily become addicted to meth?
