Is it normal for someone with ADHD to easily become addicted to meth?

  • Children with ADHD are prescribed Ritalin (a pharmaceutical form of speed/meth/amphetamines) as until a child reaches puberty, stimulants such as speed/amphetamines/meth have the opposite effect to anyone older taking them.
So rather than the stimulant making you more alert, energetic, more chatty, heightened confidence etc, In a child, it actually calms them down, both mentally & physically.

The reason you have been REFUSED a prescription for Ritalin and the like is because , even if you DO have ADHD, they won't work.

I know quite a few adults with ADHD and they self medicate by smoking weed to "chill them out" as OPPOSED to speeding up
