The difference is that prescription meth is manufactured by the government in fancy labs run by scientists while street meth is made in a grimy meth lab ran by tweakers who don't care what they put in it or how clean their lab is. Unless you are a top dollar drug connoisseur I guarantee what you get will be disgusting and horrible for you. Do not even think about it.

I have heard tweakers use the excuse (it's just like Adderall) No, it's not. I am against giving these drugs to kids for any reason, but for adults who have already developed their brain, I think they can benefit some people if used properly.
I have taken Adderall as prescribed in the past and it was helpful but now I am taking Modafinil, which works better for me. I am thankful my parents did not put me on meds as a kid despite my behavior problems, because I think they would have stunted my brain development, but as an adult I choose to take meds. If you decide to try medication I recommend only taking them as prescribed and stay the fuck away from street meth.
