Is it normal for nair to burn your armpits the second time you use it?

So my wife used Nair (the hair removal cream) on her armpits last night and now she has burns on her armpits. The right one is just a bit red but the left one looks like a blister after you pop the blister and remove all the skin, it's dripping fluid all over her clothes. It's awesome.

Anyway, she's used the crap on her armpits before and it didn't burn them then even though she says she actually left it on for longer that time, isn't it pretty weird that it burned them this time but not that time?

Is It Normal?

  • Better your armpits than your upper lip. My aunt looked like she had a cool-aid mustache for like 2 weeks!!! ROFL. Use aquaphor to help your armpit heal!!!

  • Oh, I use nair all the time, I like to shave my legs to keep it clean.
I know however, that it is perfectly normal as I have burned my legs 9 times using nair.

  • I use nair too. I find if the bottle says leave on for ten minutes and i leave on for twelve it burns like hell and leaves a rash and burn. I was doing a bikini line at the time.

Use moisturisers and try not to shave until the burn's gone. Be gentle, wear loose tops :-) x

  • Hair removal is nasty stuff. I'd recommend to stop using it altogether. It just can't be healthy. I shave cause I find it simple every time I shower.

  • Doesn't sound too awesome to me. Maybe she should see a doctor. That sounds very painful... and not normal.
