Is it normal for my urine to be a dark orange/red

Well not a lot to explain but I went to the bathroom yesterday and my pee was a dark orange/red. I am kind of worried. Help.

  • does it have a funny smell to it as well? It probably just means youre dehydrated. Try drinking more water. Happens to me sometimes after working awhile on hot days.

if you do drink plenty of water, and its still like that, see a doctor.

  • If you don't empty your bladder often, your urine may have an orange tinge. As others have said, look at what you have eaten. Try drinking more water but if you're really worried, see a doctor.

  • Medications can change the color of urine. Eating blueberries, rhubarb, beets, or stuff with food dye in it can turn urine weird colors. It also could be problems with the liver, kidney or urinary tract.

  • It could be many things including internal bleeding or a kidney infection. You really must go to a urologist.

  • You could either have a kidney stone or liver problem. Please see doctor. Urine test would quickly identify the problem.

  • Did you eat beets recently? I heard that makes your piss orange/red.

  • Don't know what that means but it couldn't hurt to see a doctor. Is there anything else bothering you?
