I hope he at least gave you some suggestions about other therapists or other therapies which you could test out?
I guess it would be good if you could find a therapist who specialises in your particular issues but I would've thought he should've known that from the start.
I see one counsellor sporadically who told me from the beginning that she doesn't feel fully competent to help me with csa/rape issues, so for those I have counselling at a Centre against Sexual Assault and see her when I need to about other issues.
Is it normal for my therapist to give up?
