Is it normal for my therapist to give up?

  • One thing I've learnt about being a unofficial therapist, and a victim of mental illness myself, is that you have to also be in a position to be helped. So help out the next therapist - listen to what they say and try and think of some discipline of your own. If you have body image issues, a quick-fix is telling yourself everyday that you look perfect as you are, not just listening to a therapist say it, if you know what I mean?
