  • I realize this post is over 4 yrs old, but I thought I would say a bit, first off if your son is developing or did develop breasts, that is known as Gynecomastia, there are a few reasons why young males will develop breasts. Now your son may also have associated bras with breasts, and him having a sister, maybe he is at a serious point of confusion. His mind is probably telling him he is male, his body and breast growth he is getting mixed signals to his brain. But with cases of Gynecomastia there are approx 40% of male population that have some degree of Gynecomastia. There are men that have breasts over and above the size of their wives or girlfriends. (38B-48DDD or even G and larger). (Gynecomastia. org). He may have found already that a bra supports breasts, it doesnt matter if breasts are on a male or a female. Its much better if you can just allow him to grow as a teen, and see if the growth does slow or subside. He is not a mutant, he is your son with a mild abnormality. Some say its a fault, some say its a deformity. Males with Gynecomastia already have a hard time with the social negativity, bullying, and Im pretty sure the sneering looks from people in public.
