Is it normal for my side to hurt

Ok so i'm a bigger person, not overly obese but not skinny either, and I've been working out everyday for the last 2 weeks to get in shape and yesterday I did the eleptical machine for 45 minutes and I walked on a treadmil with an incline for 15 minutes and then I walked around the trak for another 15 minutes, within 10 minutes on the track my side started hurting, I didint think anything of it at first because I thought my side was cramping like it does sometimes when I walk, but it became really painful to finish my last 5 minutes but I did anyway. After my side continued hurting for the next hour and I woke up this morning and it was sore and it continually hurt throughout the day and it still hurts a little now. Is this normal and what is it? Did I pull something or is it aomething different?

    Maybe you should try drinking more water I know that when I work out and don't drink enough water I get muscle spasms similar to what your explaining and my doctor said it is from eating too much salt abd not enough water. It is normal and it could be anything, a cramp, a stitch or something nothing life threatening though!!
