Is it normal for my kidneys to hurt after i drink alcohol?

This has happened to me twice now. First time was when I was taking a bunch of Advil to relive my tooth pain from the dentist. But this time, it was for no reason... It didn't hurt as bad as the first time, but it felt like they were on fire. Literally. Is this normal?

    I love how none of the above advice tells you to stop drinking.
    That's probably the first thing you should do, then go see a doctor immediately.

    It could be down to the dehydration the alcohol causes. Paracetamol has an effect on the kidneys and liver as well, although I think Advil is probably an aspirin/ibuprofen-based painkiller. I could be wrong - we don't have it here. In addition to the above, it could be a kidney infection which would be made worse by drinking. Maybe you should have a check-up.

    Above comments are correct, drink lots of water, as much as you reasonably can. But get those kidneys checked Urgently.

    Why do people think you're 16% normal? You're not weird. Lots of people have hurt kidneys from drinking alcohol, it damages your kidneys.

      The point is that people with healthy kidneys would not experience this kind of pain. Normal means okay, not a problem, no need to do anything about it. While kidney pain due to drinking may be COMMON, it is not NORMAL, and needs to be checked by a doctor.
