    I do agree with you but men find a substitute for their mothers by marrying.

    This is revolting - I don't know how you can bear the smell of him or his breath. Plus in the near future his teeth will all rot and he may up with dentures - not attractive. I don't know why his hygiene isn't habitual unless his mother never insisted either.

    I doubt this marriage will last forever :( Yuck!!

      Yes, I do realize this is true. And women want to marry a substitute for their fathers. Does this mean my father does not have any hygiene etiquette? No, quite the opposite.
      Sorry, getting sidetracked.
      Yes as this does bother me, you feel that not taking a shower as often as "normal' people do will ruin a marriage?
      How dare you say that. You do not know any of good qualities he possesses in order for you to make that accusation!

        It will ruin your marriage if it's a 'fault' now in the early days. Over the years, that one fault becomes magnified as he starts to get on your nerves :( Of course he has numerous good qualities but when the 'love' has settled down into habit, his hygiene will start to irritate you.

        I'm married over 20 years... come back when you are and tell me whether I was right or wrong :)

        Try to instill the habits now before he loses his teeth too.

          Wow! What a debate!
          I kind of agree with joybird, kind of with LeSpiderLegs.
          Good qualities...bad hygiene...mm.
          All I'm saying is that no hygiene is so gross! Thank God my husband takes baths! Not to mention cleans his teeth twice a day!
