from s guy's perspective I would say he probably fancies you as more than a friend. I think guys wouldn't feel the need to have intense social contact with a girl he is not sexually or romantically interested in. I bet that deep down you actually realize that he cares about you a lot more than he would if you were 'normal' friends.
Therefore, at this point you should really consider if you yourself could see you two being in a relationship, or if you merely see him as a friend or a person you can turn to for advise.
For the guy's sake please be honest and clear to him about this as well, so that he can either move on or put extra effort in your relationship.
