My Girlfriend and I have been dating for almost a year now and she always wants to spend time by herself. She really is the love of my life and i think she knows it but i want to respect her time she needs alone. BUT also i have needs (sexually and otherwise) that are not always getting met when im not with her. Im trying to be Monogamous but its hard...

    While some people need and can stand being around others constantly, some need a loooot of alone time. Maybe the question is if you can have a relationship with someone like that rather than considering cheating...?

    The better question is why she isn't comfortable being alone with you. I know I am fully capable of getting alone time even with my husband in the same room. And sitting in comfortable silence with someone without the pressure of engaging is a wonderful feeling. Maybe find out of that is possible with your girlfriend. If all you are concerned with is your sexual needs, you may not be fully committed to her and she should know that. Don't cheat, that's a cowardly way out.

    I'm sorry but trying to be monogamous part cracks me up. It really is an archaic idea for most. I am sorry that is happening though. Only thing you can do is talk to her
