Is it normal for my girlfriend to have no sexual desires?

My girlfriend and I have been dating for over a year now. We have quite different backgrounds when it comes to sex, her being rather conservative from parental influence (she's asian), and me having a rather liberal take on it from my home town.

We have reached a point of stagnation in our sex life, where she simply shows no desire to go further.

I have talked to her a lot about it, and it seems that she doesn't really know what excites her. I can get her going when we work on it, but nothing else sparks her sex interest. She says she doesn't feel any physical attraction to anyone or anything without provocation. Even her friends talk about other hot guys and she just has the "eww" reaction.

What is going on here?

    Maybe she's asexual. About 2 to 3 out of a hundred people are, so it's not that unlikely. Ask her about it.

    I'm sorry you picked such a conservative girl. She is probably out of touch with herself and more focused on what others want from her or the way others see her. I know because I was raised a mormon and finally broke free.

    Her family is strict .. her upbringing is strict ...she want a provocation she said so ... so you need to turn her on... if she doesn't turn on, she doesn't have a ditsier to you!!!.. you may see her turned on but just stepped back So it's her upbringing she can't do it before marriage. if she have sex, she will feel guilty(that she have done something wrong ) ..

    The problem with masturbation is its usually done alone.
    When you become part of her life (since a year now!) you become part of her personal life too ;)
    You need to go the next step. And learn her inner workings.

    Or buy sex vids, whichever, both are good :)
