Normally I think it's perfectly fine for people to be close friends with their ex(s); sometimes we get into relationships that should have been friendships all along.
Having said that, I think the circumstances of her past with him are suspect. She MIGHT be harbouring feelings for him, hoping he'll eventually come around and, if he doesn't, she still has you. It depends on how strong her feelings were for him while they were together.
One thing is certain, you need to be able to trust the person you're in a relationship with. Have a serious talk with her about it, without sounding like you're accusing her of anything.
