You should not hurt her in any way and should convince your friend to forget about her.
And if you're really desperate for her, you should probably tell him before you try to get with her. he might beat you up when you tell but if he finds out that you've been doing her behind his back.......he WILL kill you.
and yeah, of course its normal to have feelings for her!!!
