Hi I am a relatively young female,20, and i've notice for about the past year or so that my fingers ache CONSTANTLY. The joints in my fingers always feel like they've been overworked and sometimes i'll get an intense shooting pain in some of my fingers. I also have very cold hands, ALL THE TIME EVEN IN THE SUMMER! So is this normal? and what could cause this?
Sounds a bit like arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome. My right hand feels exactly the same, after long periods of writing/drawing.
If it bothers a lot, i'd see a doctor about it.
Try an antiinflamatory cream for the pain, meanwhile.
I'm guessing it might be vascular (i.e. poor circulation) as that seems the most likely explanation. However, it's only one of many possible causes. If it's persisted for a year, then I'd highly recommend talking to a doctor about it in case it's symptomatic of something else (which, in the case of a friend of mine, it was).
Swollen up fingers? Shooting pain? I'm thinking arthritis if this is the case and cold fingers can be anything, poor circulation is my guess, lots of people have it :)
Probably arthritis or carpal tunnel disease.
Go to a doctor and find out what's wrong.
I have a cast on my wrist because I might have that. (hopefully not, I'll find out soon)
Do you type often? Or use your fingers for something else for hours on end?

buy a juicer and try green juices and beetroot, give up meat. worth a try
