maybe he/she is a relative of the boss??????? If so check out if the company has a nepatism policy (relatives in the workplace) - if the company is unionized then file a grievance, if not, in writing state that you are unable to work afternoons unless it is an emergency (they do not have privy as to WHY btw - if they ask state 'personal reasons').
