Is it normal for my dog to be skittish

The last few days my dog has been either going into my laundry room & not come out unless we let her outside through our front door. Once she's outside she doesn't want to come in. It's almost like she's afraid of something in our home, this behavior isn't everyday behavior. It's very odd & has me concered. Thoughts anyone?
