Cats are jealous. My mom always brings in a new kitten every year or so and all my cats go in piss mode where they just hate the new comer. Some of my cats accept it others still hate. Time will tell you how your cat is. Just don't forget your older cat, spend time caring for it and I think that should help it accept the new kitten.
