my younger brother is 11 and acts as if he was 2 he always whines and complains and throughs tantrums. he says everyone hates him because hes stupid because he cant hardly spell or read and use to say he should just kill himself. he has stopped this threat because our mom has yelled at him enough. is this normal for an 11 year old?
Somebody needs a very big foot up the ass. A two year old in a eleven year old body no way. Not normal.
Whining and throwing tantrums show a lack of discipline...Somebody should really just put their foot in his ass and give him reason to cry...
have you thought about putting him down or maybe putting him into a mental home?
well it's not normal, i say a tantrum can happen at any age but not being able to read or write at eleven is a sign of mental retardation so you might wan't to have him checked...o and if the yelling continues i would hope DHS gets involved.
Armm have you thought about instead of yelling at him, to get help for him?? A therapist that he can talk about his problems that someone can actually help him because something is obviously NOT right with him. Talking instead if yelling, try it, it works!
The tantrums & whining to get his way are perfectly normal. However, the not being able to read or write, isn't & he should really be tested to see if there is an underlying cause. If he feels people hate him because he's 'stupid' & wants to kill himself, he needs to get help immediately. This is the beginning of a mental illness, trust me, I would know. Yelling at him will not fix anything. In fact, it will only make matters WORSE. So please, get some tests done & also get him to see a counselor.
