He's abusive (both physically and mentally) and you are busy making excuses for him. It's not normal at all. I would suggest that you seriously consider getting out of this relationship, for your sake and your son's. If he hurts you because you aren't giving him space when he needs it,what will happen if your son also annoys him? Will he hurt him as well? It sounds as if your bf can be quite unpredictable, so it just might be possible. Abuse in any form is never normal or acceptable.
