So my newborn girl was born weighing 4.3kg (9lb 7oz) and she now weighs 5.2kg at 5 weeks... Is this a good amount of weight to put on???

My friends baby put on 2kg by the time he was 7weeks...

So is this normal!??

    I 'm sorry if you thought I was being rude, that wasn't my intention...the range for normalcy is quite wide with infants. I suspect your doctor will have comforting words for you.

    No need to be dicks about it!

    My doctors appointment is tomorrow I just wanted everyones opinion, if I thought she wasn't healthy then of course she wud be taken straight to hospital asap.!!

    I just meant in comparison (?) to my friends baby is only 1kg enough... Like is that the average weight?

    I'm just being worried new mum..

    She's a growing baby! Of course it's normal! As long as your'e feeding her 2 ounces every 2 hours and she'll be fine. Of course if you're worried, talk to a pediatrician about it.
