Is it normal for men to shave their armpits?

    I don't shave my armpits, I imagine the hair grows there for a reason so taking it away is presumably slightly bad for me somehow. Rubbing or something.

    Anyway it would be a massive effort to shave them all the time, and nobody seems to mind.
