  • Some men are very hard to bring to tears. I am one of those. Didn't cry for about 15 years until I found out my wife was cheating and my marriage fell appart. There was nothing short of that where I even glot close to tears. I could feel extreme sadness, but no tears. Tears are not proof of emotions. It really a pretty useless physiological reaction. I mean really, what evolutionary purpose does it serve. "I'm sad, my body should automatically cleanse my eyes."

    • @jojotheclown - When you cry tears of sadness (as opposed to tears of pain), the tears produced have stress hormones and certain chemicals in them. It's probably your body's way of reducing stress. I always feel physically exhausted after crying, but usually better emotionally.
