Is it normal for men to color their hair?

I own a salon in an upscale neighborhood. Recently, I have been haircoloring a number of men who are searching for new positions. Many of my clients are embarrassed to request services which they believe are reserved for females, so I would like to make them feel more at ease. How can I make men feel more at home I my salon, so they will have their hair colored or permed?

Just tell them it's normal and that you have a lot of male clients. It is very normal anyway, lots of men cover their greys now and even younger straight men experiment with hair colour.

I dye my facial hair to make it match my hair up top, no shame. I don't want an invisible blonde moustache when my hair on top is thick and dark.

I guess making the salon kind of "look" unisex in interior design might go some ways too. If everything is pink or feminine colours, men who aren't comfortable in their gender identity are likely to be put off

Totally agree, men have been hiding greys for years, Grecian 2000 & Just for men shampoo/dye stuff.

I went through a period where I messed around with hair colours, no one really batted an eyelid & I got bored of it.

Unisex salon signage outside always helps too.

the fact that men feel like they can't express themselves through something as simple as hair colour because they might get made fun of is actually really sad. colour your hair, live your life, be happy

Just tell them what will make them look hot and they will do anything. Flirt with them and let them know there is a chance at sex but don't tease them. The should do the trick.
