Is it normal for me to want my kids to go back to school from winter break so I can have the house to myself all day (well, with my 3 year old). The house has been a giant freaking mess for a week and I'm ready for them to go back. Plus I have to spend so much time cooking and cleaning up after with 3 meals a day plus snacks and drinks. I have 3 kids that I love but thank GOd for school.

Is It Normal?

    Of course it is! Haven't you ever heard the song "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas"? There's a line in it that says "And mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again."!!!

    Yes. Perhaps, I good idea is to try to motivate them to clean up after themselves. I don't know how old they are but its a good skill to learn and it would help you out a lot.
