Is it normal for me to like men a lil older than me...

Yeah, it's not an unusual preference. I tend to fall for older guys. I also tend to balk a bit at the prospect of dating a younger guy but I try to be conscious of it and not to let it be a primary factor.

...Though as I approach 30 I'm feeling like too much older is a little scary...guess it just makes me realise I should probably be more of a grown up by now...sigh.

Yes age is the starting point. If you are 20 or older and like men in their 40s and 50s this is Ok as older men are more mature and secure. But be careful as older men often can not or do not want children. So as a young lady are you looking to start a family?

It's your choice. We all have the freedom to decide for ourselves. We'll if that satisfies you then go on. Just be careful. Some guys are unpredictable!

By the way your post sounds, you're around 15-17. So it really depends on your areas age of consent.
