in my personal opinion, if my parents werent happy together and they got a divorce, then i would understand. i guess it depends on how old you are as to how you deal with this situation.
she obviously respects you and loves you enough to ask you for your permission to date another guy. it will take you a while to get used to the idea that your parents arent together anymore but you need to realise that your parents need to be happy too.
