  • Did you have a strong male figure in your life growing up?

    • My father is a drug addict and a drunk. The only strong person that I had in my life was my great-grandfather who raised me along with my great-grandmother. I often wonder if the reason why I prefer dating older men is a combination of father abandonment issues and also just by being raised by two individuals who grew up through the depression. I also don't seem to relate with guys my own age and when I have tried to date men closer to my own age it's always been bad.

      • Well...you probably know exactly why I asked the question. Having a father in your life that wasn't exactly very fatherly tends to make us want to seek older people that are "fatherly" in a sense. Someone you can look to for advice and aproval since you most likely didn't get that growing up.

The only thing I'll say is make sure you're an equal in whatever relationship you're in. You'll find no shortage of 50 year old men that want to sleep with woman in her 20's.
