Is it normal for me to dislike my family?

I am a stong individual who fights for what she believes in but then again its hard when your family don’t belive in what you believe in and they refuse to support you on it. It’s not a good feeling when you feel like your out here in the world all alone when the one person you can actually relate to is that one person your family despises. I m 18 years old and im in love with someone most of the world would call a looser but in my eyes hes not to me he is the sweetest most caring guy i know. So now im lost again, im back at square one. so basically my family hates my boyfriend and it really is taking a toll on me. i have never loved someone as much as i love him. Grrrrrrr. Is it wrong for me to dislike my family cause of this?

well there always gonna be ur family they cant change that, bt he may not always be your boyfriend. so tell them to get over it and do what you want anyways. your old enough they cant force you to do anything (legally or physically anyways)

give it a second thought. you might be right about him. and you have your own complete personal rights. you might even be smart. its not necessary to listen to every words of your parents but its also completely true that your parents have the upper hand in experience. i have regretted a lot of things fighting with my parents and not listening to them.

Put yourself in your family's shoes. The only reason they could be acting this way is because they think you've made a mistake and they care about you. If you haven't made a mistake, you need to prove it to them. I hope it works out.
