Is it normal for me to be unable to get girls because i look young?

I have the same problem, but I'm 17 and I'm only about 5'3. And people say I look 14.

I have the opposite problem. I like young girls (18+ before you flame) but they think I'm too old.

try growing a bit of facial hair (if it suits you). My fiance went from looking 18 to looking 30 because of his stupid beard lol, shave it off once you get the girl :P

I was in that exact situation! I look like I'm 16 and everyone always refers to me as twelve. Although I act about 22. I started working as a server and was best friends with this girl. She's 23 and we have now been together for 6months. So it does get better you just have to find that one person. Since we look so young it's 20xs easier to find them since not many people are Attracted to younger looking people.

I'm female, but I had the same problem in high school. At age 17, I'd get hit on by kids in junior high school, while boys my own age were never interested because they thought I was too young to date. It was frustrating at the time, but as I grew older, I learned to take it as a compliment when people said I looked young. You sound like you are nice-looking with a good personality, so just keep trying. There are girls out there who appreciate youthful-looking guys.

i think you've got it easy, i have a male friend who is 16 yet looks like a 24yr old, chicks would die to have him but he's still got a shy childs mind and get's ooverwhelmed. you should take advantage of your youthfullness.

Once there was a guy (he was 19 I was 16) and he liked me and I thought he was so cuuuuuute! :) But he was just so young looking like a little boy. And of course there was this older guy (22) who was hitting on me too. I prefer mature/older guys so of course I went with him. I do wish I would have given him a chance because of the way I may have made him feel -now that I read your stories :(

I have the exact problem. Not really on the short side, but I'm 19 and I have a high tenor voice (very small adam's apple) and I can't grow ANY facial hair (aside from whiskers). You just have to respect yourself, believe you deserve what you want, and then go after it. Doing this will project a much more essential alpha male character than superficial aesthetics (e.g. hair, voice, height). And that's personality. Girls want a guy who is ambitious, self-respecting and independent. Evolutionary psychology dictates that women look more for a provider rather than a nice romp in bed like men do. So achievement and personality matter more than physical features. Also virgin women and women with less experience like a more boyish looking guy because its less intimidating. Capitalize on it. Treat her like you know you're going to get her, and you will. But if its really a problem just eat well and lift weights, it will increase your testosterone and your confidence.

How is your facial hair? Your height is slightly below average but nothing too serious. Your confidence should not go down when you are in competition especially since you say you are in great shape and mature for your age. If a girl likes you, she will not only like you because of your appearance, but because of your personality and things you may have in common.

lol the same thing happend to my brother.He's nearly thirty but looks younger. When he went to rent a car they almost didn't let him because they thought he was 19.

I suffered the opposite problem; I was 5'10 by the time I was 12, and had facial hair at 15. Girls always though I looked "old." So much so that I was often able to buy beer and get into R-rated films at 16 and 17.

Of course, as soon as my 20s rolled around, chicks were all over me. Funny thing is now I'm almost 28 and people usually think I'm about 23.

That's funny because I know a 15 year boy who looks 19 easily and gets dates with women that probably don't know that dey breakin' da law wen dey ride dat sausage.

Although, I would like to mention that "acting your age" when you're a 19 year old man is pretty close to acting like a 15 year old boy XD I know what you meant though.

It happens. Just don't pay attention to the bigger dudes. I've dated my fair share of Alpha males but it's difficult to find an Alpha that will cook you dinner, rub your back, cuddle on the couch and not say a word when you are in sweat pants without make-up on or your hair done. Some girls figure it out eventually. Some don't figure it out until they are knocked up and calling a cancelled number begging for child support and some never figure it out.

Just keep trying. Just because you find the men attractive or better, doesn't mean the woman will.

Maybe you should try to dress differently or change your hair style. These two can make you look older or younger.

I've had this problem my whole life. Yeah it does suck. Girls my age think I'm too young. Girls who are attracted to me are too young to have anything in common with me. I'm pretty much screwed. Or I should say, unfortunately not screwed, lol.

There's some out there for everyone, and I've always been more attracted to shorter men.
