I personally think that's a perfect age match. I don't know if your interested in kids or a family, but around your age it is a common thing to look into, as well as his age being the perfect age from male perspective to have kids. Also at his age he should have some stability job and financial wise so starting a family wouldn't be crazy stressful. So if he did turn out to be the one, things would likely turn out swimmingly as you both sound like mature adults. I say go for it.
