Is it normal for her to say i love you on the 3rd date?

Is it normal for a girl to say I love you after we have only been on 3 dates? She and I hit it off great. I felt like this was the start of something that could bloom to an amazing relationship. She is smart, funny; incredibly beautiful she said I love you after the 3rd date. I called her back to tell her I had an amazing time and when we hung up was when she said I love you. I did not say anything back and just hung up. I am looking for every excuse to not think this girl could be crazy.

Is It Normal?

  • Sometimes people say it out of habit at the end of call, especially if you frequently talk to family members on the phone. I once accidentally ended a call with a sales rep at a computer company by saying, "Love you". I've always wondered how he felt about that.

  • maybe she said it automatically as she hung up?

  • Perhaps she only said it as a nice thing. See how the next date goes, you'll know if she's crazy or not by then.

  • Saying "I love you" early does NOT mean "OMG CRAZY"

My BF and I fell in love quite early in dating - within a week.

Granted we were already good friends... but technically we hadn't even had two dates before he said it first. And hearing it set my heart on fire... ;)

  • I think the answer's pretty obvious: it's unusual, but not unheard of. And if you really like her you should keep giving the relationship a try; don't call it off because she expressed herself! If it works out you'll be happy, and if not at least you'll no you gave it a shot, instead of chickening out.

  • She sounds like a clinger. And clingers are crazy bitches.

  • Some girls say it quickly, don't take it personally. Plus, now adays, "I love you" isn't used as scarcely as it used to. Also, your feeling you've hit it off quite well. I dated my bf for a week before I felt like saying it, because we were so right for eachother and we could tell pretty early on. (Been together for a year and a half now) If you're not ready to say it back, tell her that. She sounds like a good catch

  • Depends. If it was "Oh wow, you got me flowers! I love you!" then I wouldn't worry. If it was "I had a great time. I love you" then I'd wonder.... saying it in seriousness after only the third date throws up red flags for me.

  • Saying "I love you" doesn't mean what it used to mean in relationships so don't make a big deal out of it.

  • Last time i said i love you to somebody i got knocked out with a syringe full of an unknown antipsychotic. I am not going to make that mistake again.

  • What does i love you mean anyway?

  • NO ! I broke if off with a guy because he to,d me he loved me on the 3rd date , I thought it was somewhat weird and creepy .

  • Nah, I don't know I don't trust it.
If someone can say," iloveyou " that fast then " fuck you " wouldn't be hard to say.
But hey, maybe she just feels you're the one.
Girls can feel that, you know. =)
