No, it doesn't hurt. Although, it's not the most fun way to get a flatter belly. It's easy to do and is great for people that don't want to do too much effort. I doubt it's unhealthy either. If anything I think it would improve health and posture. It's not like it will move around the insides of your body like people that wear corsets for lots of years.
