Is it normal for earrings to hurt

You shouldn't be turning them :/ it makes infections more likely.

Clean with 9% saline solution and disposable tissues or cotton pads. Soak them for 30-60 seconds a couple of times a day, if possible. I found that wound spray was helpful. Dry with disposables again.

Yes, it's normal for them to hurt, when I first got my piercings it hurt for a couple of days after aswell. I think it depends on how sensitive your skin is, and how your body reacts to foreign objects.

Put rubbing alcohol on your ears and earrings.

Well butt plugs can hurt and thats a similar idea so sure.
