That's a very interesting perspective and so honest. Hahaha, you're right about there being an almost general consensus about Canadians disapproving of American-styles of food. Honestly, my friends and I have, on a few occasions, mentioned in passing how we notice Americans enjoy/eat a lot of, what we would think of as, 'gross' food. I've never heard of the publicizing a fad workout on Facebook being a problem... Is it?
You lost me a bit on your second point, though. Most of the conversations I've had with other Canadians (I am British Columbian, btw) have never been about Americans seeming "weak" or that American feels opportunity should be "guaranteed" in life. Many of those other Canadians I've talked to, are a little perplex by how many Americans buy into the illusion of the American Dream, believing that anyone can make it if they just have the will to succeed. The USA is currently experiencing a recession; work is hard to find and many, many people are being underpaid and overworked. How can citizens get ahead when an economy is holding them back?
