Is it normal for best friends not to talk everyday?

If your best friend doesn't reply to your texts is it normal? or does it mean your best friend doesn't treat you as a best friend? My best friend is not replying to some of my texts or maybe because it doesn't seem important?

    One thing I love about my best friends is that I don't have to talk to them everyday.

    If a text isn't urgent, why reply immediately? My friends know not to take it personally. And if it is urgent, call me. Don't sit and stew over a non reply.

      Exactly. Are you a guy? I notice us guys are like that yet my girlfriend and her best best friend have to reply so quickly or they react like they are losing their friendship.

    Same experience, and I realised I was being over obsessive, too full of anger and emotion. My texts were sometimes really hard to reply and I think she didn't want to deal with my emotions. Anyway, it's possible there's a reason why the person is not replying. too much effort if its a hard text, if its easy its either insignificant or she/he doesn't want you to send so many so she/he ignores the texts hoping they will stop, or she/he simply forgets.

    Sometimes I don't have enough time or just forget to reply to texts or to return calls but I still love my friends. Thanks God I didn't have a mob the weeks before. It was good to be free.
