Sort of edgy, unkept, inelegant, alert, and impulsive. If they got cleaned up they could be attractive. Guess my point was that on an unconscious level, beauty is facial symmetry and other ratios that your brain involutarily computes in a heartbeat. Comedians present themselves with an edge to make you concentrate on the material. But, I agree with the OP; they are none the less attractive under the veneer of their stage presence.
Yeah lots of people would but who I was responding to was saying these guys are primarily still seen as physically attractive despite, um, not being physically attractive...mostly they have great personalities or charm despite being phys I ally unattractive. It's not some deep down 'bone structure' bullshit like he was trying to say. It's that they are endearing.
Sort of. Confidence and articulation will compensate for lack of beauty to a point. But a minimum level is needed to command the stage. Even Hitler knew it.
Is it normal for attractive women to take advantage of nice guys?

Absolutely. I'd have sex with them. Except John Candy would only qualify for oral because of his weight.

So then perhaps in the case of comedians beauty may be more than skin deep. Another well worn cliché asserts, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
A person doesn't have to be beautiful, but instead, only confident and articulate to express themselves well.
