Yeah, that's true. And Victorian women also wore some cotton-like garments. I think I meant the modern manufactured things but it's so long ago, I can't vouch for myself on that!

Umm, no-one wore pads or tampons a century ago, regardless of nationality. In terms of human history, we're the strange ones.
