That's exactly what I've been doing, for myself though. I'm a changed man from the breakup. I've improved in so many areas of my life. It's quite remarkable. Yeah I've done all the research. I wanted her back at one point but gave up on it. Hence why I'm not in contact with her. Like I said, I've been doing well but coming home from school has caused a setback so it seems.
