I'd agree with most of that, but I'd be very wary of saying the Irish are part of the UK. We do get along but it's a different country and we have history. The Cromwellian assault is a bit like 9/11 for a whole country. And so it should be.

But there are Irish-Americans in America. It doesn't mean Ireland is in America.
