  • It's normal to lose a lot of weight in a month if you go from being completely inactive to exercising regularly and watching calories.

I was in an ankle cast and unable to walk for two months recently, and I put on 5 pounds - I lost the 5 pounds in about a week once I was able to walk again.

  • If she's under 25 years old; totally normal. Young people have very high metabolisms to start with; add a little exercise and healthy eating and BOOM they lose weight. Besides, the drops you listed would be normal for *most* adults too, if they applied themselves.

  • If this is her first time trying to really lose weight, then it's normal to lose a lot in the beginning. The same thing happened to me last year. The fat seemed to melt right off. But now this year is a completely different story. I've been working out and dieting since February, but I've only managed to lose like 4 pounds :( I have, however, toned up a bit, which is good.

  • one time I lost 10 pounds in 1 week! I exercised and didn't eat anything. Anyway, 10 pounds in 1 month sounds healthier...normal.
