If it helps I am a 19 year old girl who has never had a boyfriend. When I was young my mom made me wait until I was 16, but part of the reason I listened is because of the fear. As I got older I realized how much easier it is. All of my friends would come to me crying about how they were with the wrong guy/girl and it didn't work out. If you wait until you find the right person you can skip all of the unnecessary heartbreak. But you still have to be open and have enough courage to ask the girl out when you meet her.:D
