Different families have different ways of expressing affection. Lap sitting, hugging, shoulder massages etc. are all within the realm of ordinary contact.
That's not to say there couldn't be incestuous behaviour behind the scenes, only that, as it is, you have very little to go on. Based on the previous abuse by the grandparent, it's also easier to misinterpret behaviour.
It's not up to you to "convey that this is not normal behavior" because, frankly, it could be perfectly normal. You need to find out more before you start pointing fingers, because false accusations can destroy families.
Right- my belly button says its creepy. That is why my multiple choice questions are off-kilter. A yes or no poll- would certainly weigh in favor of the yes selection. I am looking for a voice Of reason, to say- yeah sure- i straddled my daddy's lap all the time-and it wasn't intimate behavior- or something to satiate us till the mixed company leaves!
