I know it happens though. I've known many women who have been in serious relationships with men who are old enough to be their fathers. All of those women were nut-jobs and I am not exaggerating.
I worry for the young women who come to this website asking if they are normal for wanting a man who is decades older than them. It seems to be common because it's a question that is asked often, but just because it is common doesn't mean that it is healthy or even "normal".
My advice to any young women out there, especially teenage girls, is to seriously think about the reasons why they are unable to feel attracted to guys closer to their own age. You may think that it's because they are not "mature" enough, but most guys become way more serious in their mid-twenties, so I think this is a bogus excuse. What is most likely closer to the truth; you have some deep psychological issues with your father. Even if you are unwilling to give up your old-guy fetish, you should still try to heal those wounds your father left you with; you will never find happiness until you do.
Plus, girls, know that you will be the subject of a lot of ridicule and gossip, and that most relationships with such extreme differences in age rarely last in the long haul. This might not be the happy news you were looking for, but I hope it will inspire you to get some professional help. Good luck. :)
daddy issues? seriously is it that unacceptable for teenage girls to have an interest in older men so we blame it on daddy issues? fucking bullshit! i have no "daddy issues" yet still have interest in older guys or even the same age as me. oldest reason in the ignorance cookbook.

Yes, if they have daddy issues.
